Toyota Yaris Gets Additional Standard Equipment

"Break the Mold. Not the Bank"1 That's the tagline for the 2011 Toyota Yaris. We couldn't say it better ourselves. Made for minimalists with zero compromise in safety, the peppy-looking Yaris is where distinction meets practicality.

For the 2012 model year, the Toyota Yaris will get a little less minimal and a lot more comfortable. And, we're not talking about the seats. In literal terms, the subcompact, is already quite comfy. Rather, we're talking about the addition of a grand worth of standard equipment.

While Toyota is expected to release details on exactly what the new standard features will be, [Dealer] is venturing a guess that it could be 60/40 split-folding back seat, a CD player, MP3 compatibility, XM stereo compatibility, and 15-inch steel wheels with full covers. After all, Toyota did compare the 2012 Yaris' new pricing to that of the Convenience Package available on the 2011 model.

We invite you to stay tuned to find out for sure, and we promise you'll be among the first we tell when Toyota releases additional official specs on the forthcoming 2012 Toyota Yaris - hopefully soon. And, in case you're interested in procuring a Yaris before the 2012 model is available, we've included some specs for the 2011 base three-door hatch, below.
