Toyota Gives Back for Holidays

You won't find a single Grinch at Toyota this holiday season. The Japanese automaker is giving back in a big way, and they've even recruited some extra help to do so!

More specifically, Toyota turned to automotive auctioning companies ADESA and Norwalk Auction Venues for a little help in raising funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. From November 25th to December 19th, whenever a Toyota vehicle sold at either a ADESA or Norwalk Auction event, Toyota would make a $50 donation to the local Boys & Girls Club branch where the vehicle sold. It seems as though the giving spirit was infectious too, as the partnering companies opted to share $15-$25 themselves when a vehicle sold.

How much did the three companies manage to raise? They actually pulled in quite a bit of money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and they did it in a rather short period of time. In total, they managed to bring in $302,620 to 17 different local branches of the non-profit group. The branches range from Orlando, Florida to Oceanside, California, but one thing stays the same: The good cause that this money will help fund.

We don't know about you, but everyone here at our dealership loves hearing heartwarming stories like these. It proves that the holidays really can bring out the best in everyone, and that it can inspire creative ways of spreading the cheer of the season too. Of course, we would expect nothing less from the people at Toyota, as they're dedicated to making the world a better place as proven by their lauded safety systems and hybrid platforms.

Mark Miller Toyota Downtown, located at 730 S. West Temple in Salt Lake City, UT, wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season, and hopes to see you on our lot in 2012!
