Toyota NS4 Concept Adds to Hybrid Line

Toyota already has a best-selling line of hybrid vehicles in the Toyota Prius, but it still isn't satisfied. It seems there is more work to be done and more vehicles to be produced for the company to be happy about its fuel-efficient offerings. That's why the automaker launched its 2013 NS4 Concept at the recent 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
The NS4 Concept is slated to have several really cool features, such as: a Pre-Collision System (which automatically initiates brakeage with the threat of an obstacles), cameras in place of side mirrors, internet connectivity, Adaptive Driving Beam headlights, a Blind-Spot Monitoring System, and more. Other features include a Human-Machine Interface featuring a touch-screen with Smart Phone-like usability. Though Toyota has admitted that all of these technologies may not debut until 2015, the NS4 should be released a lot sooner.
While Toyota has specifically said that the NS4 concept will lead to a completely different vehicle that will not be associated with the Toyota Prius family, it hasn't denied rumors that new Prius models will be influenced by the NS4's technologies and designs. Either way, we'll have to wait awhile to see when and how the NS4 goes into production and affects other new Toyota models.
