It's true. Toyota is extremely focused on keeping its customers as far away from the gas pump as possible, and its efforts are paying off- especially in the state of California- which has the highest gasoline prices in the nation. Five of its models are especially impressive, as they offer an average combined fuel economy rating of an amazing 44 mpg.

Toyota Ethanol Production Breakthrough

Toyota has already brought us many hybrid variants of the Toyota Prius, available at Mark Miller Toyota Downtown in Salt Lake City, Utah; but they are only starting with electric. They want to be remembered for more advancements in fuel consumption.

Toyota Prius Continues to Rise

The third milestone in the last six months Prius, worldwide sales topped the two million mark in October 2010, and Toyota's award-winning hybrid beat Japan's all-time domestic sales record for any vehicle with sales of 315,669 units.

On a global scale Prius sales remain consistently strong at more than 2,100,000, of which European sales account for more than 200,000 units. And total Toyota hybrid vehicle sales now exceed three million units worldwide.

Toyota Prius or Sheep

An interesting question with an equally interesting answer: The Toyota Prius.  That's right, according to a provocative advertisement from Toyota's Israeli marketing team; the Toyota Prius emits fewer emissions than the gas of a sheep.

 

As outrageous and humorous as it sounds, the advertisement indicates that the emissions from a sheep passing gas is level five, while that from the Toyota Prius is a level two. This designates the Prius as being, in a way, supernatural and serves as a healthy reminder that transportation and energy production aren't the only sources of greenhouse gases.
